Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word “Yuji“, meaning to yoke or union, yoga is an ancient philosophy and science that allows us to connect the body, mind, and spirit.
The ancient sage Patanjali has defined yoga as “Yoga chitta vritti nirodha”, which means the control over the unsteadiness of the mind, the ego, and the intellect.
Yoga unifies, in a harmonious way, throw a set of ethical codes and progress through physical postures, breathing exercises (pranayama), and mental practices (meditation), all our being (body and mind), providing us with general well-being, stress, and anxiety reduction.
